THE BEACHES

These few beaches are only a 10/15 minute drive from the apartment, but there are many more further along the coast driving towards Makarska:

GRADAC  DRVENIK  PODGORA  IGRANE  TUCUPI  ZIVOGOSCE  BLATO

USCE WHERE THE RIVER MEETS THE SEA

Usce has to be the sandiest of all the beaches.  It has a constant breeze which will keep you cool even on the hottest of days.
This area is very popular with Kite Surfers because of the wind and shallow waters.
And it is here that we spotted our first dolphins.

BLACE

Blace is located in a small bay, next door to Usce.  There is a lovely pebble beach and a few good restaurant/bars to enjoy the local homemade food.  If you love seafood then we recommend KONOBA MALI ANTE.  This restaurant overlooks the sea, to the right of the beach and the views are amazing.

THE BEACH HOUSE @ BLACE

Situated at the other end of the beach, this is another great place to visit.  Whether you just want to relax on the beach with refreshments, or going for an evening meal at the Beach House, you will not be disappointed!  The food is really good and the staff are so very obliging and friendly.

CHILL BEACH BAR

As one visitor said on You Tube:

"Near the mouth of the Neretva River into the Adriatic Sea, close enough not to get lost and far enough not to bother anyone - fantastic during the day, even better at night.  I would never expect such a good burger in a place like this"

This is a relative new beach area, and we are so very glad it was brought to our attention.

You will find it en route to Blace, just over the little bridge on the right hand side. Dont worry, you will not miss the turning as it is well sign posted with and old, brightly painted VW Camper

KOMARNA & DUBA

These two beaches are about a 15/20 minute drive from the the apartment.
Both are home to a little bay with pebbled beaches.
The views on approach are spectacular, especially Duba.

KOMARNA

Both have a beach bar but at Komarna there are a few restaurants to choose from also.  You will find these located to the right of the village sat on the sea front.

Komarna is also host to the newly constructed Peljesac Bridge. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-62311106
