ISLAND HOPPING
As you can see from the map above, there are so many islands to visit and because we have not yet visited them all we cannot give you a true account of each one. We promised we would only ever talk from experience therefore we have replaced our chat with some links for you to follow instead.
TRPANJ
From Ploce the ferry takes you directly to Trpanj. The journey takes one hour and it is a very pleasant hour too.
Trpanj is a small fishing village with lovely pebble beaches, a few shops and some lovely restaurants.
Trpanj hosts one of our favourite restaurants, so we get the 1030 ferry out, go for a walk or swim, have lunch at KONOBA POPRET and then catch the 1430 ferry home. Perfect!
But of course the day doesnt have to be so short. From here you can drive down the peninsula to Orebic and then on to Korcula.
OREBIC
Orebic is located towards the tip of the peninsula and sits opposite the island of Korcula, a 15 minute ferry trip across. To access Orebic from Trpanj you do need a car, especially if you have a tight ferry schedule.
The harbour front is really pretty and if you are going to Korcula via Orebic then do take advantage of parking your car in the ferry queue and taking a walk along the front. The houses and some of the courtyard gardens are quite something. And of course there are some very pretty beaches too.
Orebic is definitely worth a visit.
